COVE Rangers will face Hibernian, Dundee, Forfar Athletic and Highland League champions Brora Rangers in the group stages of the Betfred League Cup.
The draw was made at Hampden this afternoon and saw us placed in Group B along with Hibs, who currently lead the Premiership, Championship side Dundee, Forfar – who like ourselves will also compete in League One in the coming season – and old foes Brora.
The actual fixtures have still to be confirmed but the dates set aside for the group matches are Tuesday October 6, Saturday October 10, Tuesday October 13, Tuesday November 10 and Saturday November 14.
Cove Rangers manager Paul Hartley said: “We are in for some good, tough, games there.
“I don’t really care who we end up playing home or away, it will be just great to eventually get back to playing football.”
