We kick off the 2020-21 Betfred League Cup campaign with a live televised home clash with Hibs. The SPFL released the full list of Group B fixtures this afternoon, which confirmed we start with the visit of Hibs to Balmoral Stadium on Saturday October 10 for a clash that will be screened live on Premier Sports, with a 12.30pm start.

It will be only the second time a Cove Rangers match has been shown live since we made the step up to the SPFL and a first for one played at Balmoral Stadium. Last season’s Irn Bru Challenge Cup meeting with Welsh side Connah’s Quay Nomads was also beamed back to Scotland.

Cove Rangers manager Paul Hartley said: “It’s a tough start for us against top quality opposition but one the players will really look forward to. The fact it’s also being shown live on television will add to the occasion and is great for the profile of our club. We are just happy to finally have some fixtures to focus on as we get closer to the stage where we will be able to return to training.”

After facing Hibs we face a midweek trip to play Highland League champions Brora Rangers, on Tuesday October 13, 7.45pm. We are also away to Championship side Dundee on Tuesday November 10, 7.45pm. We end our Group B fixtures with a home clash against fellow League One side Forfar Athletic on Saturday November 14, 3pm.
