COVE Rangers have been delighted with the enthusiasm shown for the club’s new home kit. Director Grant Moorhouse confirmed pre-sales of the updated design have reached record levels, with fans set to receive their strips in the next few weeks.
“The interest in the kit has been astonishing, we have already sold more than we ever had before the start of a new season,” said Grant. “I would like to thank everyone who has placed an order, the club appreciates your support.” The release of our new kit had to be delayed when Adidas cancelled the production of the design we had originally chosen.
Adidas explained that original design was being produced to coincide with the European Championships but, with the tournament now being played in 2021 due to COVID-19, the shirt will only become available then. But they quickly provided an alternative, which retains the trademark ‘Three Stripes’ down the side of the shirt with a slightly thicker band of tonal blue across the front.
Despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 crisis, the staff at Greaves have worked tirelessly to ensure the Cove Rangers fans who ordered new kits could get their hands on them as soon as possible.
Grant said: “We were hoping they would be available by the middle of this month but that simply wasn’t possible. The good news is we are now on course to start deliveries and aim to have all orders fulfilled by the first few weeks in September. I would like to thank the fans for being patient during what has been a testing time for all of us.”
