MANAGER Paul Hartley has challenged the players to keep our winning run going when we face Dundee at Dens Park tonight in the group stages of the Betfred League Cup.
Paul hinted he’s likely to make a few changes to the starting line-up in the wake of our 3-0 League One victory over Forfar Athletic at the weekend.
But he is confident whoever comes in can help to make it tough for our Championship hosts, who we also faced in two pre-season friendlies.
“It will be a good game for us against tough opposition,” said Paul.
“It is also a chance to use the squad more and give some players game time. No matter who plays, we will go there with a game plan and do our best to get the right result.”
“The confidence you get from winning games is a great thing so we will be looking to keep that going. That winning habit has instilled a good winning mentality right through the club.”
“The biggest factor in that is the players showing how hard they work for each other. That starts on the training ground and they maintain that right attitude when they go out to play, hopefully that will continue to be the case.”
Defender Daniel Higgins is still sidelined by a hamstring injury so won’t feature this evening.
Midfielder Fraser Fyvie is back in training after being out since the start of the season with a knee injury but his comeback is likely to be delayed until Saturday’s final Betfred League Cup group game, against Forfar at Balmoral Stadium.
Fans are reminded that Saturday’s game will be screened live on CRFC TV.
