MIDFIELDER Connor Scully accepts we will need to be at our very best if we are to take anything off East Fife when we visit them in League One tomorrow.
Connor said: “We are going to have to treat all of our remaining games as if they are cup finals.
“There’s a lot of teams competing to be in the top half of the table by the time the league splits.
“You can be sure every team we face will up for that challenge so we will need to be the same.
“We are going to have to compete and battle from the first whistle to the last, but that’s something we’ve always been happy to do.”
Connor admitted the squad have taken a lot of encouragement from the 1-1 draw away to Partick Thistle last weekend in what was our first match of any sort since January.
He said: “It was a long time to go without football so none of us were sure how things would go.
“Both sides were a wee bit rusty in the first part of the game, which was understandable.
“I felt we improved as the match progressed and we were a wee bit aggrieved to find ourselves a goal behind.
“Thankfully Mitch (Megginison) was able to do as he so often does to get the equaliser and we were able to come away with a point.
“It was a decent return away from home against full-time opponents.
“Hopefully we can build on that because finishing in the top half of the table will most likely come down to whoever can win the majority of the games they have left.
“That won’t be easy because all of the sides we have to face have more experience of competing at the level we now find ourselves in.
“But we will be giving it all that we possibly can to make sure we end up where we want to be.”
