A message to the footballing world:
Due to the current Government restrictions in place across the country, our Scottish Cup third round tie against Rangers at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday 4 April will take place behind closed doors.
We appreciate how challenging the last year has been for everyone as we strive to adapt to life within a global pandemic, but we are particularly disappointed for our loyal fans who have been unable to attend any of our matches during our first ever season in SPFL League One.
In what has been a season like no other, they now face missing out on a special Scottish Cup day out as we travel to face the newly crowned Scottish Premiership champions.
In normal circumstances, a cup tie of this standing would have generated substantial income for a club like ours. It is therefore hugely disappointing we will be unable to capitalise upon this fantastic cup draw in the traditional manner.
However, we are still eager to capture the magic of the Scottish Cup, and we hope, with your generous support, the club can benefit from this match as we continue to navigate this financially turbulent period.
A Virtual Ticket for the match is a £10 donation and your Virtual Ticket* will offer entry into a prize draw to win some exclusive prizes. The draw will take place after the match.
The purchase of each ticket will automatically enter you into the draw for:
In recognition and appreciation of the incredible efforts by all of the NHS staff across the country during the pandemic, we will be donating 15% of the proceeds directly to them.
Finally, we would like to extend a warm thanks to Rangers FC who, from the outset, have approached this cup-tie in a collaborative and engaging manner and their support of this initiative is greatly appreciated by all at Cove Rangers FC.
