DEFENDER Scott Ross spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s League One clash with Montrose at Links Park.
Scott said: “It’s a huge game for both clubs.
‘We would like to win to ensure we are as high up the table as possible when the division splits after this latest round of fixtures.
“Montrose will also be going for the victory because they know three points could secure a place in the top five, which would be great for them.
“This is going to be one of the toughest matches we have faced this season.
“We are obviously delighted to be going into this one on the back of a 2-0 win over Falkirk.
“But that will all have been for nothing if we don’t back it up with another strong performance against Montrose.
“As we always say at Cove, it’s all about the next game.
“The sides who enjoy success never look too far ahead, you have to be focussed on doing your very best in the next 90 minutes.
“Montrose have a lot of experienced players, including Graham Webster and Paul Watson – who I played alongside at Peterhead – who have knowledge of what it takes to do well at this level.
“They also beat us at Balmoral Stadium earlier in the season and we know it will take a really big performance from us tomorrow if we are to come away with a more favourable result.
“We have worked very hard to get into the position we are in now, but the hardest part of the season is still ahead of us.”
