Whilst the disappointment of Tuesday night’s defeat at Airdrie is still as strong now as it was then, it is important that we sign off the season appropriately.

First of all, good luck and best wishes to Airdireonians in the Championship Play-Off Final next week. The fact that we competed in the Championship Play-Off Semi-Final in our first year in League One, is one that underlines our continued progress.

In a season like never before, and hopefully one that we will never have to endure again, it is important that we recognise the efforts and commitment from the players and staff to come through the season which saw us finish ahead of our expectations, whilst also operating in a COVID regulated environment that was incredibly challenging for all of us.

However, the agony of Tuesday night will only fuel our determination to see through our 5-year plan. As you would expect, our planning is already underway as we aim to learn from our experiences this season whilst also acknowledging that next season is likely to be even more competitive than this season.

Most importantly, having our fans back at our matches next season will provide all of us with the single biggest positive boost we could all hope for.
