Midfielder Iain Vigurs spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s cinch League One clash with Clyde at Broadwood Stadium.
Iain said: “We are heading there in a confident mood after successive wins over East Fife and Dumbarton.
“It looks as if we are starting to find our form, but we accept there is still hard work to be done.
“Even though we are winning we are still conceding silly goals, something you can’t afford to keep doing in a league as competitive as ours is.
“We clearly have the fire power needed at the other end of the park, but we are going to have to sort out things out at the back as well if we are to remain among those competing at the top end of the division.
“It’s about managing games a bit better when we are ahead, being more street wise, maybe even slowing things down at times if needed, as opposed to taking risks with possession and maybe losing the ball going in search of more goals.
“I’m certain that will happen because we have a good bunch of lads at the club, and we are gelling and playing better with each passing game.
“It’s why I’m really enjoying my first stint playing at part-time level.
“The transition was something I was a bit concerned about, but Cove have made it easy for me.
“That’s because everything about the club is done so professionally, from the coaching to the way the players are looked after and appreciated.
“I definitely made the right choice because it’s clear Cove are the best club anyone who is making the move from full-time to part-time football could pick to go to.
“I’m eager to repay the manager and the club for giving me the opportunity to extend my playing career while also planning for a future away from football.
“The only way to do that is to keep putting the effort in and doing all that I can to help us win as many games as possible.”
Midfielder Fraser Fyvie is available again after suspension for tomorrow’s game, which kicks off at 3pm.
