Midfielder Iain Vigurs spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s cinch League One meeting with East Fife at Bayview Stadium.
Iain said: “It will be another very hard game for us.
“It’s pleasing we have managed to get back up competing at the top end of the table, after a poor start by our standards.
“East Fife have found it a bit tougher in recent times, but that counts for nothing tomorrow.
“It doesn’t matter if you are playing the league leaders or a side down at the other end, you have to treat both with the same respect, or you could find yourself in trouble.
“I’ve been in the game long enough to know that it only takes one big result to turn things around when you aren’t doing so well as a team.
“We have to make sure we don’t end up being on the receiving end of that big result for East Fife tomorrow, and we will need to be at the very top of our game, right from the off.
“You simply don’t get an easy 90 minutes in this league, the number of close results since the start of the season backs that up.
“We beat East Fife 5-2 in the reverse fixture, but that game was certainly a lot closer than the scoreline suggests, they had their moments and made us really work for the victory.
“We will need to do the same again if we are to claim the three points tomorrow.”
Iain was rested from our 4-1 SPFL Trust Trophy triumph over Albion Rovers last weekend, a break which he admits was welcomed.
“I suffered an ankle knock during the league win over Alloa, so the break couldn’t have been better timed,” he said.
“I’m fine now, although I will have to wait and see if I actually get a game after the lads showed they didn’t need me in the cup match!
“It underlines how strong the competition for places is at Cove, none of us are certain of a starting place.
“We have everyone fit again too, which is good for making sure we do our best when we do get picked.”
