We are delighted to announce Mitch Megginson has been voted the cinch League One Player of the Month for November.
Captain Mitch has been rewarded for the important part he played to ensure we ended the month undefeated in the league and leading the division.
He scored twice in our 3-0 home victory over Peterhead and netted again in the 2-0 win away to Airdrieonians that put us top of the table.
During November, Mitch also played his part in the 2-2 draw with Championship side Queen of the South in the Third Round of the Scottish Cup.
Mitch also netted as we ended the month in style with a 5-1 victory over Rangers B to book our place in the Semi-Finals of the SPFL Trust Trophy.
Mitch dedicated the award to his team-mates and the coaching staff at Cove Rangers.
Mitch said: “It’s great to win the award but I really do see it as a compliment to how well we have played as a team.
“Strikers in particular are only as good as the support and service we get.
“I wouldn’t have been considered for this award if those around me hadn’t done what was required to set up scoring opportunities for me.
“The coaching staff also do their bit by making sure we are well prepared for every game, which is crucial in spells like we are in right now, when the games are coming thick and fast.”
