Previous Meeting
Our previous meeting with Alloa was action packed from the very first minute to the last at the Indodrill Stadium.
Alloa’s Mohamed Niang was shown a straight red card after only 25 seconds for a late and high challenge on Shay Logan straight from kick-off.
Despite being on top for the whole of the first half, Alloa stayed solid and made it hard for us to break them down.
The deadlock was broken in the 51st minute, after Logan sent a perfect cross to the back post for McAllister to dive in and head past Hutton.
Alloa dug deep, and were able to score an equaliser in the 74th minute after a corner wasn’t dealt with.
Alloa came close to going ahead, when Cawley smashed a shot off the face of the post.
This sparked life into us, and the goal came directly from this, as Masson broke up the park and sent a low ball into McAllister who again does what he does best and tapped past the Alloa keeper.
The victory was sealed in the 87th minute as Megginson was hauled down in the Alloa penalty area, leaving referee Alan Muir with no choice but to award a penalty.
Rory McAllister stepped up and scored, securing his hat-trick and the Cove victory.

A reminder that the Fan Zone will be open from 12 PM up until kick-off, before reopening after the game.
