Clyde Preview | Mitch Megginson

Back to news

Skipper Mitch Megginson spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s cinch League One clash with Clyde at Broadwood Stadium.

Mitch returns to the squad after missing last Sunday’s 1-0 win away to Peterhead because of suspension.

He said: “We know we have another tough test ahead of us against Clyde.

“They beat us down there earlier in the season, so we certainly won’t be taking anything for granted.

“I’m just pleased to have the opportunity to be involved, the game at Peterhead was the first league game I’ve missed all season.

“The lads were terrific without me and, if picked, I will be hoping to help us back that up with another positive result.

“The win at Balmoor Stadium kept our recent good run of form running into the New Year, which is great for our confidence.

“We have managed to get results despite having players missing and having to adapt to different playing surfaces and different styles of opponents – and all while also dealing with some very adverse weather conditions.

“The fact we managed come through all that with positive results is testament to the strength of our squad – and the determination we have to compete at this level.

“As ever though, it’s what we do in the next game that counts.

“Everyone knows how tough this league is, even the slightest drop in standards can prove costly.

“We will have to guard against that if we want to keep our good run going tomorrow.”
