Manager Paul Hartley and midfielder Iain Vigurs spoke to the media after our 1-0 cinch League One victory over Clyde at Broadwood Stadium.
Iain scored the only goal – in the 70th minute – to clinch our eighth successive league win and ensure we finished the afternoon seven points clear of second placed Montrose at the top of the table.
Paul said: “It was a hard game for us, we weren’t particularly good.
“We were a bit wasteful, especially in the final third, when we lacked a bit of quality.
“But we finally got that bit of quality from Vigurs, it was a terrific finish.
“He is quality, he captained Ross County in the Premiership last year, he just shows that little bit of composure when it’s needed and he managed to do that for the goal.
“We always find it pretty tough when we play Clyde, for whatever reason.
“But we won on the road, we got three points and a clean sheet again, so we are very happy.
“We had to shuffle the pack again as well, because of a couple of injuries in training on Thursday, but that’s just the way it is for us at the moment.
“Hopefully we will have a couple more back for the weekend, but the players have been terrific.
“They dug in and got the clean sheet.

“We knew Clyde were going to throw things at us, they are a big team.
“We had to be resolute and they were certainly that.
“It’s a good set of lads we have at the club, they’ve shown great commitment and spirit.
“I’ve said often enough that, throughout the season, you are going to have to win in different ways and we did that.
“We have another tough game next, against Montrose.
“It’s good that we are at home, but the players know they will have to maintain high standards if we want to keep our good run going.”
Iain, who was playing in his first match since suffering an injury against Alloa Athletic in the middle of December, is happy his third goal of the campaign gave us victory at a ground where we lost earlier in the campaign.
He said: “It was very pleasing to get the three points after not playing at our best.
“That’s vital in a league as tough as this one.
“It was also nice, personally, to get another goal.
“Once the ball fell to me at the edge of their box I felt I had a decent chance.
“I didn’t intend to play a one-two off their player, but when the ball fell back to me again there was only one place I was going to put it – and that was into the far corner.

“I could have hit five players and then gone in, I don’t care as long as we get the three points.
“Montrose dropping points makes this win even bigger ahead of playing them.
“Before my goal, it looked as if it wasn’t going to happen, but we managed to dig it out.
“But it will mean nothing if we don’t get anything next week.
“Our confidence is sky-high after eight wins on the trot, but we know we need to keep it going.
“It’s good to be at the top of the table, but we’ve done nothing yet.”
