Defender Scott Ross spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s cinch League One meeting with Queen’s Park at Balmoral Stadium.
Scott said: “Queen’s Park are the only side we have failed to take maximum points off of this season, so nobody needs to tell us how tough a game it’s going to be.
“Fraser Fyvie’s red card played a big part in us eventually losing to them at Firhill and we then fought out a 3-3 draw at our place.
“This next meeting will be just as intense and we know only our best performance will get us the result we want.
“It’s good to be going into the game with a healthy points lead at the top of the table, but there is no chance of us getting carried away about that.
“If my memory serves me correctly, Falkirk were something like 10 points clear at a similar stage last season and ended up finishing in fifth place.
“That’s a timely reminder of just how tough the run up to the end of the season is going to be.
“Every side we face will have their own reasons to want to win, whether that be to win the league, gain promotion or stay up.
“One thing we would like to do is get back to keeping clean sheets again.
“We have managed to record the most in our division so far, which is something we are very proud of.
“If we aren’t conceding we have plenty of guys at the other end who are capable of taking advantage to make sure we win games.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to keep our goal intact in the last two games.
“We were a wee bit unlucky down at Dumbarton because it was a game that included penalties that probably shouldn’t have been given.
“We were very annoyed to concede against Airdrie last weekend though, especially because we were leading and a win would have strengthened our position at the top.
“We need to get back to being mean at the back, although we accept that will be tough against a side as strong as Queen’s Park.”
