Manager Paul Hartley and midfielder Fraser Fyvie spoke to the media after our 2-0 cinch League One victory over Falkirk at Balmoral Stadium.
Fraser was played in a more attacking role and helped set up the first half opener, for skipper Mitch Megginson, then sealed the win by scoring his eight goal of the campaign in the second half.
Fraser said: “I thought it was a really professional performance from us.
“We hadn’t been ourselves the last few weeks, in terms of results but also performance levels.
“Because of that, it was important we put in a good team performance against a very good Falkirk side, so it’s pleasing we managed to do that.
“It was also pleasing to be asked to play a bit further forward, I’ve done that a few times this season.
“When I did it in the past I was fortunate to be able to get on the scoresheet, so I’m delighted I was able to do that again.
“But who scored wasn’t important – what mattered was getting the three points and performing at a level we are more known for.
“We have 10 games to go now and we know we still have a lot of hard work ahead.
“It’s important we keep putting in the same sort of effort that was required to give us the win over Falkirk.”
Manager Paul said: “We were terrific from the first minute to the last, we controlled the game.
“It was a top performance – and that’s with us leaving good players out.
“I didn’t have to make any changes either because we were playing that well, which was really pleasing.
“It was much more like how we normally play, the passing combinations, the speed of our play and defending strongly as a unit.
“Fraser Fyvie was really good.
“Playing Fraser a little bit forward was something we spoke about after the previous game.
“We worked on it in training and were confident Fraser would do well, he’s a terrific player.
“He had some good opportunities in the first half, but couldn’t hit the target.
“I said to him at half-time to just keep at it and make sure he hit the target with the next chance he got, which he did.
“It was a great finish after some good build up play.
“It was pleasing to get another clean sheet as well.
“We brought (Ryan) Strachan in to bring that little bit of order and calmness to the back line.
“He was alongside (Mark) Reynolds and Scoop (Morgyn Neill) as the other centre-backs and they were outstanding.
“The two wing backs (Scott Ross and Harry Milne) also did well, as did (Iain) Vigurs in the middle of the park.
“It was a really good day for us.”
