Defender Morgyn Neill spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s cinch League One meeting with Montrose at Links Park.
Morgyn said: “We are fully focussed on this next game and what we have to do if we are to have any chance of getting the result we want.
“It was like that as soon as the final whistle went at the end of last weekend’s win over Clyde.
“Others were probably talking about how great it was that the win meant we were now 19 unbeaten in the league.
“But, with us, it’s always about the next game.
“I know it’s an old cliche and people probably get bored hearing that, but it’s just how things are at the club.
“We don’t dwell too much on wins or defeats because they are in the past, so there is nothing to be gained from it.
“The manager is always encouraging us to keep looking forward and reminding us that it’s what we do next that matters now.
“We know we are going to have to be ready for another tough game at Montrose, they have done well this season because they are a really good team.
“Nobody really needs to tell us only our best will do if we are to compete with them.
“Even more so because Montrose will be eager to make the best of this opportunity to cut the points gap between us.
“People will also say there is a lot of pressure on us because we are leading the table with only seven games to play, but it’s the sort of pressure players love.
“You want to be in a team that is competing for titles and promotion and accept that comes with a willingness to keep working hard in every game.
“And you can be sure the teams chasing us would rather be in our position at the moment.
“Everything is in our hands and we want to keep things that way, but that will only happen if we keep our standards high.”
