Midfielder Connor Scully spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s cinch League One meeting with Falkirk at the Falkirk Stadium.
Connor said: “We are at the stage of the season where every side you face has their own reasons for wanting a positive result.
“Falkirk have given us tough games every time we have faced them so far, so we have to be ready for more of the same.
“Falkirk are full-time, but that won’t make any difference to how we go about preparing to face them again.
“It doesn’t matter who we are up against, our approach never changes, the aim every time is to go out there, give our best and see where that takes us to.
“As soon as we step on to the team bus after one match our minds are already focussed on what is going be required of us in the next one.
“I suppose that’s just a different way of saying we only take it one game at a time, but it really is how we have approached things at Cove Rangers from the day I joined the club as a 16-year-old.
“On a personal level, I look on each game as a challenge to prove I can compete at this level.
“We had been pretty successful in the Highland League, but I knew I would need to step things up if I wanted to stay with Cove Rangers after gaining promotion to the SPFL, where you come up against teams full of players who have played full-time for most of their careers.
“I’ve changed loads of things, my diet, my levels of training, basically anything that needed to be done to give me a better opportunity of doing the best job I possibly could.
“It’s been hard work, but I have loved every minute of it.
“Even at the age of 29, I feel fitter than I ever have been and I will keep making the sacrifices because I’m a Cove boy and love the club.
“It means the world to me every time I get the opportunity to pull on the shirt.”
