Defender Harry Milne has warned we will need to be at our best again if we are to take anything off Alloa Athletic this coming weekend.
We face the Wasps at Balmoral Stadium on Saturday in the first of our three remaining cinch League One fixtures.
Harry is happy to be heading into those unbeaten in 23 league outings, but accepts that will count for nothing when we take on Brian Rice’s Alloa side.
Harry said: said: “We have three games to go now.
“Every team in this league has the capabilities to beat anyone on their day, so we will be taking nothing for granted.
“They are all tough games, so we will need to be at our best, starting with Alloa on Saturday.”
Harry helped to extend that unbeaten run by netting both goals in our 2-0 victory over Falkirk at the Falkirk Stadium last weekend.
He opened the scoring early in the second half from a header off an excellent cross by Shay Logan.
Harry grabbed his a second on the hour mark after cleverly dispossessing Falkirk midfielder Charlie Telfer at the edge of the penalty area and smashing the ball into the far corner.
Harry said: “It was a good win for us because the Falkirk Stadium is a tough venue to visit.
“Falkirk have a good team with some brilliant individual players.
“We’ve had a tough run of fixtures, facing the four teams behind us in the league all away from home, and we are delighted to have come out the other side of those fixtures undefeated.”
Harry had returned to the side after missing the Queen’s Park fixture the week before due to an ankle injury sustained in training.
He said: “I was gutted to miss out, as I want to be involved in every game.
“The boys did very well to get a point down there on a difficult pitch against tough opponents.”
Harry is happy with the quality of his finishes against Falkirk, which took his goal tally for the season to five.
He said: “The first was a good team goal, with (Iain) Vigurs and Shay (Logan) linking up well on the right.
“Shay managed to pick me out at the back post, and I was able to head it back towards where it came from – I was glad to see it finding the far corner.
“I took a chance for the second goal.
“I left my player out wide because I could see their keeper was thinking about giving it to their central midfielder.
“I managed to win the ball back and find the back of the net, I was chuffed with that goal.
“The system where I’m a wing-back allows me to get further forward, especially if the ball is coming in from the right-hand side.
“I’ve got the licence to go and get in the box.
“You can see that from my statistics throughout the year, I’ve been able to get more goals and assists by playing further up the pitch.
“It would be good if I could get a bit of consistency with my scoring, as they seem to come in flurries, but that is why we’ve got guys like Rory (McAllister) and Mitch (Megginson).
“Losing Rory quite early was quite disappointing, but I was glad I could step-up and get the goals for the team.”
A reminder that tickets for Saturday’s clash with Alloa Athletic have been reduced to just £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
