High Flying Cove Scoop The Awards

Back to news

Cove Rangers’ recent outstanding form has been recognised with a double award for the month of November.

After four straight cinch League One victories, and only one goal conceded, Paul Hartley has been voted as Glen’s Manager of the Month, while Rumarn Burrell has picked up the cinch Player of the Month trophy for scoring five times during the run, including his hat-trick against Stirling Albion.

It was the first treble of the striker’s senior career, and he says he is thrilled to have been honoured:

“I’ve been really happy with my form, so it’s great to be recognised like this, but I’ve got to thank all the other players; they’ve been going so well, and creating the chances for me to put away.

“It is fantastic to have my individual contribution highlighted, but it’s a real team effort, and they all deserve the recognition too.”

Paul is also delighted to have collected the trophy which he believes is just reward for the efforts of everyone on the playing and coaching staff:

“It’s great to get the award, but I always say these honours are a team effort. There has been so much hard work put in over the past few months; this is recognition of everything that all my staff have done during that time.

“We are determined to keep that going and getting this recognition acts as an incentive for all of us.”
