Midfielder Mark Gallagher has joined League Two side Elgin City on loan for the rest of the 2023/24 season.

The twenty-two year old signed a two-year deal with Cove in the summer, and has featured in thirteen matches, scoring his first goal for the club against Hamilton in July.

With fierce competition for places in midfield, Manager Paul Hartley believes this is the right move for Mark:

“Having been out of full-time football for a couple of years, it was always likely to take him some time to adjust. He is a very good player, but he needs games, and he will hopefully get that with Elgin.”

Mark joins team-mate, Dayshonne Golding, at Borough Briggs, and everyone at Balmoral Stadium would like to wish him well for the second half of the campaign.
