The annual Cove Rangers FC Golf Day was held on Friday at Royal Aberdeen GC with the prizegiving dinner at The Chester Hotel the same evening.

In testing conditions, the Motive Offshore team of Ryan Thomson, Rory Byers, Declan Slattery and Matthew Verling claimed the trophy with an outstanding score of 53. Ally McLeod from Wood took the Nearest the Pin prize at the 8th hole with Motive’s Declan Slattery picking up the award for Longest Drive at the 12th.

Many of the competitors and their friends and family joined us later for the dinner where Billy Dodds supplied the entertainment, reflecting on his long and varied career during an hour-long Q&A session.
