Weekend Stats Round-Up

Back to news

The team rounded-off their League One campaign in fine style on Saturday, maintaining what has been an impressive away record during 2024-25. The 4-2 win at Annan brought up a quartet of four-goal salvos on their travels after previously achieving that feat against Caley Thistle in December, Stenhousemuir in January and at Kelty in March.

The win secured second place, the fourth time the side has recorded a top three finish during our six-year stay in the SPFL.

We amassed a total of fifty-seven points, eight more than last season, and we ended as top scorers in League One with sixty-two, while the forty-four conceded was nineteen fewer than in 2023-24.

There were some notable personal milestones confirmed at the weekend as well.

For the fourth time in the six years since our promotion in 2019 Mitch Megginson has ended the campaign as divisional top scorer, his thirteen this season enough to see him share that honour with Kelty’s Ross Cunningham.

Adam Emslie’s double at Annan saw him finish as the nearest challenger to the leading pair, his twelve league goals a superb return from the on-loan Aberdeen teenager.

Adam now has thirteen in all competitions, moving up to eighth in the club’s all-time SPFL list since 2019, having leapfrogged both Harry Milne and Declan Glass.

Ryan Harrington and Mikey Doyle each completed ever present league campaigns at Galabank, joining Stuart McKenzie, who did so twice, Blair Yule, who played all twenty-two League One games during the truncated 2020-21 season, and Connor Scully, who recorded the feat last time out.

Remarkably, Mikey has been on the pitch throughout, a total of 3,240 minutes covering the thirty-six league matches, and 3,960 in all competitions.
