For the fourth time in our six years in the SPFL Mitch Megginson has finished as divisional top scorer.

His feat was recognised with an award from the sponsors, presented to the striker by manager Paul Hartley, after he ended the regular league campaign having netted thirteen goals, sharing the honour with Kelty’s Ross Cunningham.

It was just the latest highlight of Mitch’s remarkable time with the club and rounded off a season of milestones. Having earlier celebrated a century of career goals in Scottish League football, back in March he scored his 100^th for Cove Rangers since we joined the SPFL.

Mitch previously topped the scoring charts with twenty-four in League Two in 2019-20, then fourteen and eighteen in League One in 20-21 and 21-22 respectively.

In total, including his goal-laden seasons in the Highland League, Mitch Megginson now has 230 Cove Rangers goals to his name, and we look forward to many more in the coming years.
