Cove Rangers Football Club can confirm that Manager Paul Hartley has signed a new three-year contract extension, committing his long-term future to the club.
Having overseen more than 270 matches across two spells in charge, Paul remains a central figure at Balmoral Stadium as the club looks to build on its foundations and drive progress in the seasons ahead.
The extension reflects the Board’s confidence in Paul’s leadership, experience and commitment to delivering success at Cove Rangers.
A key focus of the club moving forward will be the reshaping of the playing squad, with an emphasis on developing talented young local players who can build their careers at Cove Rangers, supported by experienced professionals who can guide and enhance their development on and off the pitch.

Chairman Keith Moorhouse said:
“This is an important decision for the Club and one the Board has given careful consideration to following last season.
“There is no hiding from the fact that last season was disappointing by the standards we set ourselves. We have also seen a number of long-serving players move on this summer, which marks the end of an important chapter in the club’s history.
“Periods of change can also create opportunity, and after careful consideration the Board remains firmly of the view that Paul is the right person to lead us through this transition.
“Paul knows this football club inside out. He understands our ambitions, our culture and what is required to be successful at Cove Rangers. He shares our determination to learn from last season, build a strong and competitive squad, and move the club forward.
“This extension provides stability and clarity at an important time, and we look forward to working closely with Paul as we begin the next chapter together.”
Speaking about his new deal, Paul Hartley said:
“I’m delighted to extend my stay at Cove Rangers. The club has been a huge part of my life for many years, and my ambition and enthusiasm remain as strong as ever.
“Last season fell short of the standards we set ourselves, but it has given everyone at the club the opportunity to reflect, learn and identify where we need to improve.
“A lot of work has gone on behind the scenes this summer. We’ve worked hard to retain key players while adding quality and competition throughout the squad.
“Every recruitment decision is being made with a clear focus on both ability and character. We have been deliberate in our move to recruit to young, hungry players who we can develop but who we believe have the talent to help us deliver success on the pitch. This is a fresh start for everyone.
“I’m excited to get back in with the players for the start of pre-season and begin the hard work as we prepare for the new campaign.”
Further additions to the squad are expected to be confirmed in due course as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season.
