Cove Rangers are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper, Kyle Gourlay, who joins on a 2 year contract after leaving Hamilton Accies at the end of last season.
Born in Dundee, Kyle signed his first professional contract with Dundee in 2017, under our manager, Paul Hartley.
He appeared for their under-20 side against us in the Scottish Challenge Cup in March 2016. He went on to make 46 appearances over the next three seasons whilst on loan at Clyde, Airdrieonians & Elgin City.
Aged just 22, Kyle made his first competitive appearance for Hamilton in a 3–2 defeat at Hibernian on 2 October and would go on to feature in 10 matches last season in the Premiership.
Manager Paul Hartley said: “We have followed Kyle’s development for a number of years and are delighted to be able to bring him in. It will give us competition within the squad and I’m sure he will enjoy working with Alan & Stuart”
We can also announce that young goalkeeper Balint Demus, has joined Highland League side Formartine United, on a season-long loan deal. This will provide Balint the opportunity to gain vital first team experience as he continues his development.
Everyone at Cove Rangers would like to welcome Kyle to the club and wish him well during his time at Balmoral Stadium.
