We are delighted to confirm Cove Rangers trio Mitch Megginson, Rory McAllister and Harry Milne are among the nominees for the PFA Scotland League One Player of the Year award.
Team captain Mitch, a first time nominee, has been recognised after scoring 21 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Fellow striker Rory, who has notched 19 goals to date, is in the frame for what would be his third League One player of the year award.
Rory won back-to-back awards – in seasons 2009-10 and 2010-11 – when he was with Brechin City.
Rory was also voted the League Two player of the year in season 2013-14, whilst playing for Peterhead.
Left-back Harry, also a first time nominee, has been rewarded for an outstanding campaign that has seen him score six times to help us go unbeaten in our last 24 league games as well as a record 18 clean sheets.
Mitch said: “You always enjoy it when you receive recognition for your efforts out on the pitch.
“What makes this even more special is that I’m nominated alongside two good friends as well as team-mates.
“But we know the way we have played all season it could have been anyone in our squad who had been put up for the award.”
Rory said: “I’m very happy despite having won three of these types of awards before.
“They are highly valued because they are voted for by your fellow players.”
Harry said: “The nomination was totally unexpected, but a welcome boost as we prepare for our final two league games of the season.”
The winner of the award will be announced at a Gala Dinner in Glasgow on Sunday May 1.
Everyone at Cove Rangers would like to congratulate Mitch, Rory and Harry for being nominated for the award, which is chosen by fellow members of the Professional Footballers Association.
